Cogs and Cranks
Last night I was brain stormed... yes, you heard me correctly, I am not using incorrect grammar - I was brain stormed. The "overload" process my brain chooses to go into on a completely random night while trying to get to sleep. I think instead of switching off, it just goes into overdrive and I literally can't stop thinking. The good thing about it is that I'm generally not worrying about anything when this happens, but I'm just thinking very creatively.
Thinking about what creatively? Well last night some of the "thoughts" were: simple things I need to do the next day, ideas for dinners at church after SAS, ideas for a pub crawl tshirt and a storyline for an animation im working on. And I just make sure I keep a pad near my bed so I can just scribble down whatever comes to my head and then keep attempting to get back to sleep!
The positive result of this is that I start the next day with a whole bunch of new ideas to flesh out and things to do. Unfortunately, this is also the negative result as I now have a million things to do instead of just thousands :P
Anyway, that's not the point of this post, but it has inspired me to share a few ideas I had while I was overseas travelling. Samara and Pam will already know these ideas aaaallll too well... but they will be fresh to the rest of you. And these are just 2 of many more to come!
#1. Conveyabelt Shoes
We had to do alot of walking while in America. This way we didn't have to pay with money... we just paid with suffering legs and backs. But I think I came up with a good solution for those who may be too cheap to pay for taxis everywhere, but also don't want to have to push through the constant pain of *shudders* walking. Put a traction conveyabelt in the bottom of a shoe, so it appears completely like a normal shoe until you click the button on the remote and away you go. Could even be solar-powered to make it environmentaly friendly.
#2. Game Stations
This is probably one of my favourite ideas. There were a couple of times in America where we would end up in a store aimed mostly at the female target audience and there were no "guy" shops anywhere close buy (like I would have wanted to walk anywhere anyway :P). But Samara & Pam obviously wanted to check out dresses and other girly things... so sometimes I was just kinda left there standing around looking bored.
Solution: You know how they have console setups in the entertainment area in Big W and Myer etc so customers can test out the new games or try out a different platform - well why not have these situated in "no go" male zones. Like on the entire floor devoted to dresses in Macy's department store. That way, a guy can go shopping with a girl and while the girl goes and does all the boring stuff like pick out 50 million different dresses and try them all on, the guy can have a go on COD5 on the nearest Xbox station. Then, if the girl needs/wants the guys opinion - he can be found at a conviniently close, yet surprisingly comfortable, location! Girl = happy! Guy = happy! Macy's = happy! Microsoft = happy! COD5 = happy!

Oh don't worry - I wouldn't call them that, I'd come up with a groovy new name like "Tanks". (because they've got the traction belts like tanks do)
True, you did a good job, and of course I like spending time with you... just prefer if it wasn't in the girls clothing sections :D I'm referring in particular to the Macy's incident where I went off to the guys clothing part, came back about 5 - 10 minutes later to where I left you girls and you were gone!! And I searched the entire store (4 floors) looking for you and then apparently you were at the same place all along, just in the dressing rooms close by! 30 minutes later!! An xbox then would have been handy :P
Ha ha you should be glad customs took away my bazooka - I couldn't blow anyones head off!

If you ever came home with a pair of Conveyorbelt shoes, I would destroy them. Purely because I NEVER WANT TO HEAR CONVEYORBELT and SHOES IN THE SAME SENTENCE AGAIN!!! ha ha
And I would like to publicly thank you for your patience in these stores during your time overseas.
HOWEVER, I feel that I put in a stirling effort keeping you amused, meaning you really don't NEED these game stations. Unless you don't like spending time with me...do you Joel? hmmm??
And Joel, it was NOT 50 million dresses, just 8....I think that was the closest you came to blowing my head off the whole trip :P
