Super Ate Challenge Round-up
Well, after 8 (or so) weeks my Super Ate Challenge has come to an end. And I went out with a bang by cooking a pad thai on Saturday night.
It's something I have been wanting to cook since the start, but have always struggled to find a recipe to use. But I bought some rice noodles last week and it had a recipe on the back of the packet, so I decided to use it and set out to buy the ingredients on Saturday afternoon.
The cooking process was quite enjoyabe and relatively easy (as usual), especially since I was graced with the company of Samara, Dave, G & Phil.
The end result was nice. But not ultra-awesome, and I'm willing to admit that, it was a little less tasty than I had expected. I did have high expectations - I wanted it to taste like the stuff I buy in the restaurants. Alas, my cooking skills or the recpie (more likely :P) are not up to scratch. Probably worth trying a different recipe at some point I think, my sis did a cooking class while she was in Thailand so maybe I'll get her to give me some tips!
