Operation: Illusion Book
Let me tell you a story...
When I was young I received a wonderful book about optical illusions. It wasn't just some non-fiction book which had a few pictures in it. It was an actual story picture book about some little elf (or wizard or pixie or something) that travelled around and came across all these illusions... so the illusions were part of the story. I remember it being such an awesome book, it had some very cool illusions in it!
Then one day, one of my mum's friends (at the time) came around for dinner. Being the bright and bubbly little kid I was, I just wanted to share with him the joy that I had found in reading this book. So I was showing him all the pictures and having the time of my life... but when it came time for him to leave, I still wasn't satisfied. So I insisted that he borrow the book. He declined. I insisted. He declined again. I insisted AGAIN and I wouldn't take no for an answer. So he borrowed my book. And I've never seen him again. And he still has my book.
So I've decided to go on a quest to retreive the book. I don't care if I can't get it back, I'd be happy with finding out the name of the book and borrowing it from a library or just buying it again. But I can't remember what it was called.
Stage 1 is seeing if Mum can track him down. She isn't in contact with him anymore but I'm hoping she'll be able to find out who he is and then we'll see if he still has the book.
